Camel’s Stomach, 2024
I made a Cosmic Bag out of a camel’s stomach. The world didn’t exist yet. Of course, there were no camels either. But the camel’s stomach was there, you see. (Satoshi Imamura, Cosmic Bag)

To commemorate the publication of A Box of the Same Size Containing Countless Boxes of the Same Size, a book compiling his major series, Kenji Taki Gallery (Nagoya) is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Satoshi Imamura, opening on Saturday, November 9.
Satoshi Imamura has consistently created evocative works—spanning painting, three-dimensional objects, and installation—rooted in his own original stories. By intricately layering and intersecting reality and non-reality, his practice deeply stimulates the viewer’s imagination.
This exhibition will primarily feature new paintings, alongside recent and older works from his representative series.
