Biography
Born in 1979 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
2002: B.F.A. in Oil Painting, Musashino Art University
2004: M.F.A., Kyoto City University of Arts
2007: Ph.D. in Oil Painting, Kyoto City University of Arts
2008: Won the VOCA Prize
2014: Stayed in Indonesia as an Overseas Study Fellow of the Pola Art Foundation
Worked in Inabe, Mie Prefecture until 2014.
Studied in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 2014; Auditing student at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI).
2014–2020: Based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
2020–2021: Stayed in the Netherlands as an Overseas Trainee under the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan.
Currently working between Indonesia and Japan, and based in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture.
